We all know that chugging down soft drinks can pack on the pounds, but it may have an even more serious consequence. A new study from Loyola University in Chicago found that women who drank two or more regular sodas a day were 86% more likely to show signs of kidney disease than those who sipped one or none. High levels of sugar and high fructose syrup in drinks can damage kidney tissue over time. Swap your soda for seltzer water with lemon! Yummy.
